Block Out Levels 854-859: Six New Expert Boards and Video Solutions
Block Out Levels 854-859: six new Expert boards added on 22 October 2026, each with a walkthrough page and a video solution.
Related video walkthroughs
Six more boards arrived on 22 October 2026: Level 854 through Level 859. All six are Expert-tier boards with a published video walkthrough, and they take the level library up to 859. This log covers them as a single batch, following on from the 850-853 level log.
The late 850s keep the same routing problems as the boards before them. The layout is crowded, several colors compete for the center, and the opening moves decide how much working space is left for everything that follows. Nothing new is introduced here; the job is to read the board before the first slide.

The six newest boards
All six were published together and share the Expert rating. Treat them as one stretch: the habits that clear one board are the habits the next board expects.
Level 854

Open the Level 854 walkthrough or watch the video solution on YouTube.
Find the color with the fewest usable routes first. On dense Expert boards that color sets the order, because every other move either keeps its route or closes it. Clearing the biggest group first is tempting, but the color whose exit is about to disappear has to go first.
Level 855

The question here is which block is acting as a door for another color. Move it only once the route behind it is ready. A block that looks like clutter is often the one holding a lane open.
Level 856

Patience beats speed in the opening. Clear a small color early to buy working space, then leave the center alone until the outer lanes are free. Clear the center first and the remaining blocks usually have nowhere to slide.
Level 857

Open the Level 857 walkthrough or watch the video solution on YouTube.
This board rewards a full count before the first move. Note how many routes each color has, then start with the one that has a single viable exit. Protecting that exit is worth more than any early group clear.
Level 858

Open the Level 858 walkthrough or watch the video solution on YouTube.
A tight board with little slack. Clear the constrained colors early and keep the short central route for last. If a queue starts to build, stop and re-check which doors are still open instead of pushing ahead.
Level 859

The newest board is the tightest of the six. Count the routes for every color before the first move, then begin with the one that has a single exit. A clean restart is faster than rescuing a jammed position where no block has a route.
What the late 850s ask for
These boards keep testing the same four habits as the rest of the Expert stretch:
- Read every door before moving. The door layout is the map; the blocks are traffic.
- Protect the center. The shortest route is also the first one to jam.
- Clear constrained colors early. A color with one approach cannot wait while you clear something easier.
- Wait for moving obstacles. Generators and elevators reward timing more than speed.
If a board jams completely, restart early. On these levels a clean restart is usually faster than trying to rescue a position where no block has a route.
A short checklist for the range
Before each move, ask:
- Is the first block's route actually open?
- Which color has the fewest routes after this move?
- Does this move close a door that another color still needs?
- Is a generator about to refill the space I just cleared?
- Is the elevator aligned, and is the landing lane clear?
If any answer is wrong, stop and re-read the board. The difference between a clean clear and a slow one is usually a single early decision.
Using the walkthroughs
The video is the verified solve; the notes above describe how to read the board, not a transcribed move list. A useful routine is:
- Watch the opening of the video, up to the first color that leaves the board.
- Restart and reproduce that opening yourself.
- Finish the board without the video.
- If it jams, rewatch only the section where your route diverged.
